For 36 years, tens of thousands of cyclists have endured the course in this legendary ride to help raise funds for people living with multiple sclerosis. The MS Gong ride will take place on the 5th November with participants travelling through the Royal National Park past Waterfall to the Otford Lookout at Stanwell Tops, along the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge, then along the coast through to a backdrop of sun, sand and surf in Wollongong, spanning a total distance of 82km.
The Real Aussie Sheds team train hard throughout the year to give it their best attempt, and every contribution makes a difference. John Saunig from Real Aussie Sheds began this journey as a way to pay tribute to his late brother who died seven years ago from Motor Neuron Disease, also a debilitating neurological diagnosis which unfortunately has the same outcome.
If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please follow this link https://www.msgongride.org.au/, click on ‘donate’ and search for ‘Real Aussie Sheds’. So far the team has smashed their goal of $3,300 by raising $4,789 and hope to see this number continue to rise.
The combined contributions for the whole event currently stand at $1,307,967.
