Carports come in all shapes and sizes, but at the end of the day the humble carport aims to provide protection against vehicles from rain, snow, hail and other known forces of nature. If you are thinking about building or upgrading your carport, read this post.

FREE STANDING OR ATTACHED TO A WALL?

Carports are often free standing, however we have seen the occasional wall attached carport, which often blends into the structure of the home. But as with all carports, there is less protection than a garage but allow for more ventilation and airflow, perfect if you just want to protect against frost on the car’s windshield.

DELIVERED ANYWHERE IN AUSTRALIA OR BUILT ONSITE?

Your next carport can be delivered in kit form and delivered anywhere in Australia. You can choose your own dimensions and colour. Alternatively, if you live within the Nowra or Shoalhaven regions, we can build your carport onsite as part of local building services.

AND HOW ABOUT SOME CARPORT HISTORY?

Dating back to around the 1900’s, the humble carports were actually used by the prairie school achitect Walter Burley Griffin in designs for a Sloane House in the USA, they were also being employed by other Prairie Shool achitects such as an achitect firm in the design of residences in Wisconsin. From the first carports designed, they are now typically made of metal and are modular in style whilst remaining flat-roofed with drainage systems.

To be honest with you, a carport really is just… well a carport, and we dont have much more to say about it other than we build fantastic and quality carports.
